I am a retired teacher of Maths who began travelling at the age of 15. I started with Europe but then I visited places all over the world.

In my journeys I have always lodged in private homes, both for better knowing local people and receiving precious advice for better visiting the area. In 1996, when this type of lodging was not known yet, I opened my private home and organized my first bed and breakfast "Catai" in Padua.

After some years of experience, I thought it interesting to create the "Tibetan House" in Padua, where guests find kitchen and living room, may rest on a balcony and in the garden, and can really feel at home.

I involved other friends in this project, in Italy and abroad, and Koko Nor (which takes its name from a Tibetan lake) was founded.

Its members all follow the same philosophy of hospitality.
